Symbol

Ishwar is the Bengali character used by the Bengali Hindus to pay respect to the deceased, written in front of their names. Ishwar signifies the communion of the atman (Self i.e. the deceased) with the paramatman (Absolute i.e. the Brahma). The symbol in red on yellow background with a saffron circle has been adopted as the symbol of Bengali Hindu Genocide.
